Takumi began to realize that he was in deeper than he had anticipated. Azazel was a demon, after all, and his motives were not entirely pure. But he had come too far to back out now. He was determined to beat the game, no matter what it took.
Takumi thought for a moment. He really wanted to beat the game, and with Azazel's help, he might just be able to do it. "Okay, deal," he said finally.
But as the game progressed, Azazel's favors became increasingly strange. He asked Takumi to deliver packages to his friends in the underworld, to play pranks on his classmates, and even to help him with his own video game - a dark and twisted RPG that Azazel was creating in his spare time.
As they played through the game, Azazel provided Takumi with cheat code after cheat code. They unlocked secret levels, gained infinite lives, and even discovered hidden characters. Takumi was amazed by Azazel's knowledge, and he began to rely on him more and more.
"Hey, kid," Azazel said with a sly grin. "I've been watching you play this game for a while now. You're not bad, but you're no pro either."
